Drop In Season 3 - episode 3

Jan 25, 2007 07:37 pm
Length: 13:08

The episode started when we rolled into town and within the first few minutes we had people recognizing the bus and the truck and shouting info at us while driving down the road. Nothing was really retained from the quick bits of local advice that we got before tucking ourselves away at one of the campgrounds again.
One dude managed to track us down there though and proceeded to be a fixture at the campsite. He was there at 7 am waiting for us to get up and left when everyone was in bed at night. Good ol' Aaron. He took us to some shady jumps and a good cliff jumping spot to cool down one day. We chalked Aaron up to being Drop In's first stalkers. Thanks Aaron. Riley McIntosh was supposed to be our tour guide while in the area. Some may remember Riley from season 1 of Drop In in the last episode. Riley's a very talented and hard working dude with a passion for building sick trails. Riley was called away to Nelson on short notice to build a trail for the upcoming New World Disorder 5 film and couldn't be there to show us a good time. Thankfully we had Riley's younger brother that is coming into his own while following in his bro's footsteps to be involved in the scene in any way. He showed us a nice step up on the brink of extinction due to a new golf course Hours were spent sessioning that stunt and Tim was barely able to get everyone to the truck to make it to a prior engagement with some break dancers. We were excited to hear about a jump jam that was to happen the next day nearby. Everyone looked to Cam. Cam by no means is a "dirt jumper", he did however happen to be the best dirt jumper of the crew and the most likely to represent well even though it would be his second ever ride on the prototype Trek Session (7" full suspension). We wandered into the secret zone in the forest lead by Riley's little bro and realized that he had lead us into a hornet's nest. It didn't take long to realize that this jam was exclusively for 20 bikes and we weren't welcome plain and simple. The zone was a beautiful area for filming and the jumps were being buffed with brooms for the next day's jam, we left respectfully trying not to let the door hit us in the a$$ on the way out if you know what I mean but we didnt want to give up. This is where a Kokanee sponsorship comes in handy.Darren Berrecloth makes his first appearance on the show for the third season riding his BMX and the day turned out amazing after having made some new friends from the other side of the shrinking fence. We managed to find a trail that wasnt closed yet with the help of our buddy Scott at Backcountrytaxi.com and we had some guests from the past come and join Tyler for a rip on that which made for a nice segment. Just before making our way to the little city of Nanaimo Dylan insisted we stick around to show us a bank-to-wall and ledge Thats right boyz and girlz Tremblay's back and shredding, three street sessions in this episode and one day on the trails. He was in a lot of pain afterwards but managed to pull it off with a lot of Cam's secret muscle remedy (which is Arnica), and pain killers. Dylan is a true soldier and forced himself to ride for you because he knew we were getting into the season and you couldn't wait for him to start riding any longer.
Hope you all dig the show this weekend.
